Overview of NTO

The Society of Women in Taxation (SWIT) was conceived in Nigeria in 2003 by Mrs Adebimpe Balogun and inaugurated in 2010 by Prince ‘Kunle Quadri as the female arm of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. SWIT provides a platform for female tax professionals to shape policy and support women’s socio-economic growth. Encouraged by CITN, SWIT expanded to Ghana, Senegal, Benin, and The Gambia in 2022. It was formally inaugurated as SWIT West Africa in February 2023 during the WAUTI Conference in The Gambia, with Nigeria’s Dr. Ruth Abiola Adimula as pioneer chair and a six-member regional leadership structure
